The Princess
of Salvaniah

Matilda is playing hide-and-seek with her mother when she falls into a Spot of Nothing and lands in the magical world of Salvaniah.

First, Matilda has to accept there are trees that can talk. Then she has to come to terms with unicorns being a thing. And then … she discovers fairies exist after all, though they don’t always work as Tooth Fairies.

As soon as Matilda gets her head around all that, they meet a princess who’s hurt her leg and lost her wand. Big deal, you might say. But the princess needs her wand to get back home. This wand isn’t just an ordinary wand, you see, it has one special purpose and that is: to call a dragon from the sky.

We can’t send a princess home without her dragon now, can we?

But, of course, the princess didn’t just lose the wand anywhere. She lost it in a mysterious, dark cave, which only Matilda can fit into. So off she goes, with her fairy companion in a shimmery skirt to look for the princess’s wand.

She might find it, or she might not, but one thing is for certain, Matilda will find magic exists in so many different shapes and forms. Including, even her.

A Royal Life

Rozalie

Book 1

  • Unlike the fairytales, Prince Sean and Princess Stephanie were never supposed to fall in love and live happily ever after, but they did. At least, they tried to. Now, three years after their messy and public break up, their kingdoms are about to go to war. Sean could potentially stop the war if Stephanie reclaims her title as Princess, but that seems an unlikely feat. After all, she only gave up her title because of him.

Still, Sean moves to Rozalie, the one place he’s forbidden to be, to find Stephanie and ask her to take back her title. However, once he meets Matt (the best-looking guy he’s ever met) on his first day in Rozalie, things become a little tricky. Sean doesn’t need anything else complicating his relationship with Stephanie, yet the heart wants what it wants, and Matt proves to be the man of Sean’s dreams.

Despite how Sean might feel about Matt though, he has no hopes that it’ll last – he’s not a believer in happily-ever-afters. What Sean doesn’t know, though, is that he can save his kingdom and live happily ever after with the love of his life. He just has to be willing to risk everything – including his own life – in the most unlikely way.

Ropes and Lies

Book 2

  • There's a good chance Prince Sean is going to become king. So that's what they say. If you ask Sean the answer is, 'No, it’s not going to happen,' because he knows becoming king will start a war. But life's plans don't always follow the smoothest course.

Sean is aware of this, but he's more worried about what life has planned for his relationship with Matt - a young, handsome man whom Sean has recently fallen in love with. Sean would very much like to keep Matt a part of his life, but their relationship is already feeling the strains from the royal life Sean must lead.

It doesn't help that Princess Stephanie (Sean's ex and competition for the throne) keeps popping into Sean's life at the most unexpected times. She for whatever reason won't leave him alone. However, she has good reason. Unlike Sean, Stephanie knows their future depends on them using their power of the five elements to defeat an incoming threat.

Unless they work together, they and everything they love in their world will perish.

  • The Boy Underneath the Fur is a powerful narrative poem about the shedding of masks and the reclaiming of the self. It tells a modern fable of men who once upon a time abandoned themselves and are now seeking a way of life where they listen to that little voice inside. However, like all people on a path of healing, this community of men faces its turmoil. In this case, it’s a lone predator wanting to re-inflict pain from the past. The battle faced isn't one of physical struggle, but one of an internal fight to love the person hidden beneath the fur.

About

As a true born creative, Scarlett has spent her whole life dabbling in the arts and craft, only to find her feet in the world of words whereby she has spent over ten years making stories come alive.

Her time and energy has been mainly spent on the series, A Royal Life, of which she started drafting when she was fifteen.

The life of a writer is not often documented, so in 2025, Scarlett began a podcast, Diary of a Writer, to help people understand what it’s like to live a creative life, fiddling with words all the time.
